This data is provided by the Institute of Car Market Research. So, in eight months of 2023, Ukrainians purchased 39,900 new cars, of which 6,000 were purchased in August. The French crossover Renault Duster was and is the sales leader.
If we compare the numbers of last year and the current year, the sales of new cars increased by 58.3%. In August 2023, Ukrainians bought 46.7% more cars than in August 2022, and 13.3% more than in July 2023. Therefore, the domestic market of new cars is gradually being revived. Although it is still far from the pre-war indicators: by 2022, about 10,000 cars were sold every month.
Most often, new cars were bought by the residents of the capital and residents of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Lviv regions.
An increase in sales is also observed in the used car market: in Ukraine due to the war, in Europe due to the deterioration of the economic situation.
