From October 1, cars must drive with daytime running lights outside of cities, towns or villages . The fine for violating the rule is UAH 425-510.
Cars not equipped with such lights must use headlights. The requirement is related to reduced visibility on the roads at this time of year.
The police issue a fine for driving without lights during the day, but, as lawyers note, this is illegal. Violation of the rules for the use of signals or external lighting devices is liable only at the start or change of movement. The penalty for non-compliance is a warning, not a fine.
