  • The strike of Polish carriers at the border continues

For more than a week, Polish carriers have been blocking checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. Protesters are negotiating with representatives of both states, but the crisis is still far from being fully resolved.

The travel across the border has decreased tenfold: now, instead of 300, 30 trucks per shift are processed at the checkpoint.

The next stage of settlement will take place on November 13. The meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine with the Polish side will take place right at the border.

In order to eliminate traffic jams at the Yagotyn-Dorogusk checkpoint, the department has already created a lane for empty vehicles. Thanks to the update of the functionality of the eCherga system, it became possible to replace the driver of empty trucks.

The Polish police also help to reduce traffic jams. It redirects Ukrainian trucks to bypass the protesters – across the border to “Korchova”. The strike leader complains that such police intervention makes the action ineffective.
