  • Can drivers who violate traffic rules count on CASCO payments

    The content of CASCO contracts in different insurance companies is not the same. But programs that provide compensation even if the insured driver is at fault are popular.

    But in case of gross violations of traffic rules, it makes no sense to count on payments. Most insurance programs do not cover damages caused by serious road accidents.

    Serious violations include:

    • driving through a prohibitory “red” traffic light signal or a traffic controller’s gesture;
    • exit to the oncoming traffic lane by crossing the double center line of road markings;
    • a road crossing where traffic flows are divided by a double center line;
    • violation of the rules of crossing railway crossings.

    For such violations, the insurance company will most likely refuse to pay the person responsible for the accident.
