Polish farmers will renew the blockade of the border
On February 20, Polish farmers will block all border crossings between Poland and Ukraine, as well as access roads to railway transshipment stations and sea ports. This was reported by the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union of Individual Farmers “Solidarity.
But, as Volodymyr Balin, vice-president of the Association of International Motor Carriers, said, Ukrainian drivers are ready for such a scenario. They will deliver goods bypassing Poland. This, in his opinion, is more expedient than standing in queues at the border. Routes for trucks are chosen by transport customers.
Changes for drivers were announced in Ukraine
From February 2024, Ukrainians will be able to order driver’s licenses in 5 more EU countries. Now international delivery of certificates is also available in Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Belgium, Switzerland. Before that, the service was already operating in 22 European countries.
The international delivery of driver’s licenses was launched almost 4 months ago. So far, more than 3,500 citizens have already used the service. The largest number of orders is in Poland.
To order international delivery of certificates, you need:
- log in to the driver’s electronic account;
- specify the reason for exchanging the certificate;
- choose international delivery;
- enter the order receiving address;
- pay for the service
After receiving the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the submitted application is processed by the administrator. State enterprise “Infotech” transfers the produced driver’s licenses to “Ukrposhta”, and the postal operator sends them abroad to the specified addresses. Delivery takes 15 days.
Experts named the brands of the most reliable cars

A new study was published at the beginning of the year. The rating was based on an analysis of the American market. Analysts calculated the average number of problems for every hundred cars in operation from 2021.

Driver categories were separated in Ukraine
New ones were added to the already existing categories of driver’s licenses: A1, C1, D1, etc. Due to the introduced changes, drivers should review their data in their license and vehicle registration certificate. The fine for non-compliance will amount to UAH 3,400.
Which categories correspond to a specific vehicle?
- A1 – bikes, scooters and other two-wheeled (three-wheeled) vehicles that have an engine with a working volume of up to 50 cubic meters. centimeters or an electric motor with a capacity of up to 4 kW;
- A – motorcycles, including with a side trailer, and other two-wheeled vehicles that have an engine with a working volume of 50 cubic meters. centimeters or more or an electric motor with a capacity of 4 kW or more;
- B1 – quad bikes and tricycles, motorized strollers and other three-wheeled (four-wheeled) vehicles, the maximum permissible weight of which does not exceed 400 kilograms;
- B – cars, the maximum permissible mass of which does not exceed 3,500 kilograms, and the number of seats, except for the driver’s seat, is eight;
- C1 – cars intended for cargo transportation, the maximum permissible mass of which is from 3,500 to 7,500 kilograms;
- C – cars intended for cargo transportation, the maximum permissible weight of which exceeds 7,500 kilograms;
- D1 – buses intended for the transportation of passengers, in which the number of seats, except for the driver’s seat, does not exceed 16;
- D – buses intended for the transportation of passengers, in which the number of seats, except for the driver’s seat, exceeds 16;
- ВЕ, С1Е, СЕ, D1E, DE – vehicles with a category В, С1, С, D1 or D tractor, which the driver has the right to drive, but which does not belong to the specified categories of vehicles;
- T – trams and trolleybuses.
We emphasize that drivers with category B, C1, C, D1 and D can drive vehicles with a trailer with a maximum weight of up to 750 kilograms.
Of course, obtaining a certain category of driver’s license has its own age restrictions.
- sixteen-year-olds – category A1, A;
- eighteen-year-olds – category B1, B, C1, C;
- nineteen-year-olds – category BE, C1E, CE;
- twenty-one years old – categories D1, D, D1E, DE, T.
