The largest automobile exporters: top 10

The world car market has been undergoing gradual changes over the past two decades. Chinese exporters are slowly displacing American ones, but the EU remains the largest supplier of cars.

Experts analyzed the data for the previous year and compiled a rating of the largest exporters by the amount of revenue. It looks like this:

1. EU – $699 billion (46.1%);
2. USA – $138 billion (9.1%);
3. Japan – $135 billion (8.9%);
4. Mexico – $129 billion (8.5%);
5. China – $121 billion (8.0%);
6. South Korea – $77 billion (5.1%);
7. Canada – $50 billion (3.3%);
8. Great Britain – $41 billion (2.7%);
9. Thailand – $30 billion (2.0%);
10. Turkey – $25 billion (1.7%).

If we follow the dynamics from 2000 to 2022, it turns out that Canada (-7.2%) and Japan (-6.4%) lost their positions the most. On the contrary, China’s share grew by 7.7%.
