The rules for importing humanitarian aid have changed

Since December 1, the rules for declaring and releasing humanitarian aid have changed.

    1. Now any humanitarian cargo must be issued exclusively to a charitable organization that is in the Unified Register of Humanitarian Aid Recipients.
    2. To register the cargo and/or the vehicle, you must submit an updated form of the customs declaration, where the number of the recipient of humanitarian aid will be indicated.
    3. From now on, vehicles may be imported only for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
    4. The simplified declaration mechanism will be valid only until April 1, 2024.

The Polish authorities will seek to restore permits for Ukrainian carriers

The Polish government demands from the European Commission to cancel the transport visa-free regime for Ukraine. Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetskyi stated this at a press conference.

Until the spring of 2022, a permit system for bilateral and transit transportation to EU countries was in effect for Ukrainian carriers. But then the European Commission eliminated it with the agreement on transport visa-free. This allowed Ukrainian products to avoid stopping exports through road checkpoints.

But from November 2023, dissatisfied Polish carriers began blocking the border with Ukraine. They demand to cancel the visa exemption.

The Ukrainian military-industrial complex will release a large batch of armored vehicles

The intentions of the Defense Department were announced by Lieutenant General Ivan Gavryliuk. The deputy MOU did not go into details, but noted that the state order plan for 750 armored vehicles has already been completed.

Vehicles will be manufactured by both state and private enterprises. All samples of weapons and equipment are tested on the battlefield. And the period from the submission of the application by the manufacturer to the admission to operation was reduced to 20 days.

Polish truckers are delaying aid to Ukraine

Public and charitable organizations that provide humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine complain about delays at the border. Due to the blocking of checkpoints by Polish carriers, pickups, drones and electronics cannot enter the country in time.

Although the protesters claim that only non-commercial goods are being kept out, the problem does exist. The fact is that civil organizations also buy what is necessary for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And they transport cargo by commercial transport.

Due to the blockade, the cost of transportation from Poland to Ukraine increased 2.5 times: from 1,700-2,300 to 5,000 dollars per container.
